In October 2023 I took part in the Backpack Making Class offered by Douglas Davidson (The Brown Buffalo) through his education platform CANVASWORKER.

I had dreamed of participating in this class for five years and I was not disappointed. The four days spent using industrial sewing machines, learning construction techniques, digging into materials and components, and thinking about the order of operations of construction was an incredible education.

II grew in both my understanding of hands-on bag construction and my ability to learn and stretch myself in new directions.
